Predicting shift from traditional document management systems

Organizations across all industries are feeling the pressure to control operational costs, which is leading decision-makers to abandon the traditional solutions that simply automate individual processes and eliminate paper. Full financial automation solutions improve efficiency by increasing transparency and accountability in financial processing among all accounts payable stakeholders – from departmental leaders and staff to suppliers – allowing companies to empower staff to make higher-business-value contributions.

Regardless of the size of their organizations, most of our customers tell us that they will invest more in full financial automation technology that maximizes potential for efficiency, visibility and cost control.

With this in mind, we anticipate that full financial automation solutions will overtake traditional compartmentalized document management in 2010.  We’re taking steps to tightly integrate the MetaViewer solution with a growing array of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial solutions – including those from Microsoft Dynamics and Lawson – to make sure the benefits of full financial automation are experienced across the enterprise. Since ERP solutions are among the most expensive technology investments an organization can make, accounting decision makers who are ERP champions are in the best position to increase their own value and provide information that helps the C-suite make more impactful, informed, and strategic business decisions.

We’re also supporting the full financial automation trend by developing additional tools to more comprehensively engage suppliers in MetaViewer’s process automation. This includes enabling secure access to and sharing of information critical in executing transactions among customers and suppliers and their respective ERP systems.
