Higher education institute earns an A+ for distributing information.

Loyola Marymount University, located in Los Angeles, CA, has found an inexpensive and easy way to provide access to vital information for users.  Printing and distributing paper reports to hundreds of users around campus was expensive and time-consuming.  Users spent even more time filing these reports and later trying to find the correct information in response to frequent requests.  Providing access to the multiplie host-based systems involved would have been costly and required extensive training and maintenance.

Using MetaViewer paperless filing software, Loyola was able to automatically capture, full-text index and archive reports from its various host and Oracle ERP applications to a network system; from there users could access them quickly right from their PC.  No printing or filing required!  Users save large amounts of time because they can simply type in any keyword or number and find the information they need in seconds —no more searching through filing cabinets.

Recently, the university upgraded their MetaViewer paperless document management solution, which added the ability to access reports over the web.  This provides further savings by eliminating the need to install client software on the machines of more than 400 people throughout the university that are now using the software.
