Over 186,000 individual documents easily accessbile with a single keyword of text and the push of a button.

Being able to effectively manage hundreds of thousands of documents is critcally important to any organization. For regulating bodies which need to track and record updated certifications, university transcripts, new regulatory standards and other documentation, the volume of files generated continually increases with it all requiring proper storage and management.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO) faces those challenges daily as it practices effective paperless document management.

The Institute's mandate is to protect the public interest by setting and enforcing the highest professional and ethical standards, to ensure that CAs are recognized as Canada's preferred financial leaders and advisors, and to support its members in their efforts to enhance their capabilities.

"In 2005 we represented over 32,000 accountants throughout Ontario, and our individual records encompassed more than 900 CD-ROMs worth of images and over 186,000 documents in our previous system," states Michael Torzsok, Manager of Data Systems for the ICAO.
