When we first began work with our customers at Central Maintenance and Welding (CMW), a premier industrial maintenance, fabrication, and construction firm, we found they had an extremely complex and multifaceted procure-to-pay (P2P) process that was entirely paper-based. Having already made a significant investment in a Microsoft Dynamics GP enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, CMW was looking to streamline its financial processes by implementing an accounts payable (AP) automation solution that could seamlessly integrate with Dynamics to achieve true automation.
After implementing MetaViewer to standardize its AP and AR processes, CMW successfully migrated those processes from 100% paper-based to 100% paperless. Automated indexing and text extraction from any invoice, links to supporting documents, workflow steps, customized, action-oriented emails, and customer notification tools are now accessible using either Microsoft Dynamics or MetaViewer, streamlining CMW’s P2P process and resulting in more efficiency throughout the organization.
